Why is it important for English speakers to use the King James version?

A Very Brief Comparison

To anyone wondering why the King James Bible is so important, I'll provide a few clear examples. Most modern versions make Jesus sin at least twice and, more or less, equate Jesus to satan at least one time.

New versions remove "without a cause" in Matthew 5:22, making Jesus a sinner when He cast out the moneychangers from the temple.
  • But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. (Matthew 5:22)
  •  ¶ And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. (Matthew 21:12-13)

New versions also remove "yet" from John 7:8, making Jesus a liar when He went to the temple after saying He wouldn't go.
  • Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come. When he had said these words unto them, he abode [still] in Galilee. But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. (John 7:8-10)

New versions almost all compare Jesus to Satan by changing "Lucifer" to "morning star" (or some form of it) in Isaiah 14:12.

This is the King James rendering showing Lucifer is not the same as the morning star in Revelation:
  • How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (Isaiah 14:12)
  • I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star. (Revelation 22:16)

Here are some examples from other versions:

New International Version
  • How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
  • "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
New Living Translation
  • "How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world.
  • "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star."
New American Standard Bible
  • "How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations!
  • "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star."
Holman Christian Standard Bible
  • Shining morning star, how you have fallen from the heavens! You destroyer of nations, you have been cut down to the ground.
  • "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to attest these things to you for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright Morning Star."
